Palette Play Friday

This week's Palette Play is from Jilly Phillips, and this beautiful floral design done for Marks & Spencer. I love the naive design and the simple but unusual colour palette. You can buy Jill's fabulous designs from the kidswear Print Studio Lemon Ribbon!

Colour Pop: Mint Green

It's colour pop wednesday, and this is one of my favourite colours, mint green! It's been popular in homewares and fashion over the past couple of years, I totally love those shoes, not that I could ever walk in those heels!

Colour Pop: Bright Orange

Today's colour pop is Bright Orange. The pops of colour in the door & fridge are great to brighten up a room, and it looks especially great against grey on the wall. Also love those nails!

Colour Pop: True Red

I'm not the greatest fan of red, mainly because it doesn't remotely suit my complexion, but it can look great sometimes. I especially like the bright chair agains the black desk and the unusual red bath.

Palette Play Friday

This beautiful skirt from Anthropologie is todays palette play. The coral and rust red look fantastic against the deep blue and neutrals. I also love the tiny hint of greeny gold.

Palette Play Friday

Dark Jungley greens, and bright pinks, purples and oranges make up this week's Palette Play Friday with a painting called Good Morning, Sunshine by Carrie Schmitt. I can't wait to try this palette out on a new print, it will be great for the new summer in winter trend for AW17.

Lusting After... Rainbows

Rainbows are multicolored, kaleidoscopic, ombred, spectrums of colour, and I love them! My eye is always instantly drawn to anything rainbow coloured, and it makes me smile! So this week I'm lusting over every colour in the rainbow- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo & violet... on stairs, nails, windows and cakes.

Palette Play Friday

This week's Palette Play comes from an artist called Jaime Derringer, who does wonderful colourful abstract pieces. I love the fat brushstrokes and naive loose lines, all with a fun bright colour palette- I think it would look great as a cute floral colourway.

Lusting After... Coloured Front Doors

Once I have my own front door to play with, I know exactly what I'll be doing with it- painting it a lovely fun bright colour... the only question is, which colour!! I'm no doubt going to be buying a lot of tester pots!
