Palette Play Friday!

This week's palette play is a photograph from the Hindu Holi Festival of Colour. Coloured powders get thrown around and and give these beautiful clouds of bright colour. Absolutely beautiful and so inspiring as a palette!

Colour Pop: True Red

I'm not the greatest fan of red, mainly because it doesn't remotely suit my complexion, but it can look great sometimes. I especially like the bright chair agains the black desk and the unusual red bath.

Mini Trend Flash- Food Animals

I first noticed this trend on instagram with Donuts made to look like cat and dog heads, or even their whole bodies, and now it has moved onto chocolates, eclairs, bread and even rice! This Japanese trend is taking over, and it's too cute! A lot of hard work for something that will be demolished in seconds though!

Colour Pop: Klein Blue

A few years ago I went to Marrakech in Morocco and the highlight of my trip was the Majorelle Gardens designed by Jacques Majorelle and owned by Yves Saint Laurent since 1980. I fell in love the place because of the amazing colours there, most noteably Yves Klein Blue, developed by french artist Yves Klein. This week's colour pop is inspired by this, I still have a very small pot of the paint, bought when I was there but I never really knew what to do with it!

Lusting After... Copper

I'm completely crazy for copper at the moment, and I'd really like a set of copper cutlery. Other top items on my list are a glass and metal side table, love this green glass version, hexagon shelves and a side board for my work studio with lots & lots of drawers. These beautiful copper versions would certainly do!
